Payment & Insurance

We understand that health insurance can be difficult to navigate and understand. Clarity is here to help with that. Our team will work with you and your insurer to explore the payment options that will work best for your unique treatment and financial situations. When coming for an appointment at Clarity be sure to bring your health insurance card, Medicaid, or Medicare card along with your drivers license.

Upon arrival for you or your child’s appointment at Clarity you will receive a copy of Clarity’s Privacy Policy to view.

Payment

The client is ultimately responsible for all costs not covered by their insurance company. These costs include, but are not limited to: services that have been provided which are not covered by the client’s insurance policy, balances after the insurance payment, or failure to obtain prior authorization before your appointment.

Clarity’s Psychology & Learning department is not contracted with any insurance providers. Although the client will be given the necessary paperwork to file a claim with their health insurance company. The client is responsible for all costs associated with these appointments.

We understand that services provided at Clarity may be cost prohibitive. For that reason we have financing and payment options available for our clients.

Cancellations/Makeups

We will assign a therapy time specifically for your child. If a client or family cancels a therapy session, for any reason, we reserve the right to charge you for the therapy session (example: client sickness, vacation, etc.). We will try to make up client absences that are due to sickness, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee a new therapy time. If our team is unable to conduct the therapy session due to therapist absence, your account will be credited for those sessions. Two consecutive unexplained client absences or 25% of therapy sessions missed may warrant dismissal from speech therapy services. In addition, any account that has a client balance due past 30 days will also result in dismissal.

Late Arrival

Therapy sessions begin and end at scheduled times. There are no provisions for extending sessions to accommodate client tardiness. If a client is more than 10 minutes late for a session it is up to the therapist’s discretion as to whether they will see that child.

CareCredit helps you pay for out-of-pocket healthcare expenses for you and your family. Once you are approved, you can use it again and again* to help manage health, wellness, and personal care costs not covered by insurance.

Payment for Psychology services is the responsibility of the client or parent/guardian unless prior arrangements are made.

A deposit of one half of the evaluation fee is required to secure an appointment. Some financial accommodations may be provided through the business office, such as a payment plan with Care CreditTM or an income-based, sliding scale for fees.

Clarity Cares Application

We offer some services on a sliding scale for residents and employees of Greenville County. This means all of our clients pay fees, but the rates are based on income and ability to pay.
